Resumen

This article proposes a transitional-transformative approach for leadership development in complex and dynamic contexts, integrating insights from psychoanalysts Christopher Bollas and Donald Woods Winnicott. Utilizing a comprehensive review of literature from databases Web of Science and EBSCO, covering the period from 2000 to 2023, this study explores the concepts of “transformative space” and “transitional space”. These concepts highlight the critical role of early emotional and relational experiences, creativity, imagination, and environmental interactions in shaping leadership potential. This integration provides a strategic framework for leadership development, offering practical applications for navigating organizational challenges.
