Teacher training and media literacy: implementing a research line in the professional master's program

Media and Information Literacy (MIL) is essential for the formation of critical citizens, skilled in technical abilities and in evaluating information, including ethical information, and in detecting misinformation. This project proposes the creation and study of the implementation of a MIL research line and discipline within the Professional Master's Program in Basic Education (MEPEB). The objective is to empower future teachers to plan pedagogical proposals that integrate MIL into the Basic Education curriculum. The methodology adopted will be Design-Based Research, with a qualitative approach and focusing on MEPEB students, through a case study on the implementation of the discipline and research line in the aforementioned Master's program. The project is structured in four stages (Diagnosis, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), using questionnaires, observation, and analysis of the Final Pedagogical Proposals for data collection, which will be analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis.Downloads
