This article aims to problematize the relationship between the incentive to promote technological education practices and the effective implementation of these practices. To this end, we used Tecnoteca's initiative at Instituto Federal Fluminense as a case study. [...] It is worth the role of public policies for national development in relation to education initiatives. [...] As a method of data collection, an interview was given by the creator of the project and, based on these data, we performed an interpretation of these statements and their relations with the theorists who supported this article from the data analysis technique conceptualized as Discursive Textual Analysis. In this article, we brought the IFF's Tecnoteca project as a case study and found the need for school management to carry out technological projects, due to the resistance to new teaching methodologies, corroborating the importance of continuing teacher education.
