System closure for new submissions and general reports

2024-03-07
Dear members of the qualitative research community, firstly, we would like to thank you for your trust and wide demand for our journal!   Due to the large number of manuscript submissions since February 9, 2024, we decided with the members of the editorial team to temporarily suspend the submission of new manuscripts to RPQ.   As soon as we move forward with the evaluation of manuscripts already submitted, we will reopen the system.   We take this opportunity to ask for the collaboration of all evaluators. We know that we are all overwhelmed with activities, however, the smooth running of the editorial flow depends on the valuable and unpaid contribution of the evaluators. It is necessary to create a stronger culture of solidarity to cope with the growing submission of manuscripts and maintain the high quality of evaluation.   Therefore, those who are not yet evaluators, we ask that you consider the possibility and those who already are, we ask that you continue to contribute to us. We are seeking to advance the journal's indexing with SCOPUS and have updated the declaration of ethics and good practices, which can be accessed, in Portuguese and English, at: https://editora.sepq.org.br/rpq/ethics.   Lastly, and not least, as current president of the Society for Qualitative Studies and Research, SE&PQ: https://www.sepq.org.br/, I invite everyone to consider the possibility of affiliation. By the end of March 2024, we will publish the 2024 annual fee values. As we progress further with the number of affiliates, we will be able to proceed with the full financing of the magazine, without the need to charge fees, which still do not cover the expenses for the maintenance of our beloved periodical.   Cascavel, March 7, 2024.   PhD. Tiago Emanuel Klüber, Editor-in-Chief of RPQ and President of SE&PQ.
