Cartas terapêuticas: uma intervenção eficaz com famílias de crianças com deficiência
Resumo
Resumo: O estudo com famílias de crianças com deficiência buscou compreender o significado atribuído por elas às cartas terapêuticas recebidas em um programa de intervenção. Participaram seis famílias por meio de observação e entrevista. A Análise Qualitativa de Conteúdo, segundo Morse guiou a análise dos dados. A categoria “Sendo uma referência para a família” exprime o significado da carta terapêutica para a família. Receber cartas surpreende a família de maneira prazerosa, pois não conhecia a experiência e permitiu o despertar de sentimentos de respeito e consideração. As cartas ampliam a compreensão sobre a situação vivida, possibilitando à família manejar as situações de maneira fortalecedora. As cartas terapêuticas podem ser intervenções valiosas no cuidado da família da criança com deficiência.

Therapeutic letters: an effective intervention with families of children with disabilities
Abstract: The study sought to understand the meaning attributed by the child's family with disabilities the therapeutic letters. Data collection was conducted in May 2010 with six families through observation and interview and Qualitative Analysis of Content, according to Morse led the analysis. The category ' being a reference to the family ' expresses the meaning of therapeutic letter to the family. This is a new experience, never experienced by the family who is surprised in a pleasant way, allowing the awakening of positive feelings and consideration. Reading the letters extends the understanding of the situation experienced enabling the family to modify the handling of situations giving rise to a sense of empowerment in their capabilities and their history with the disabled child. Therapeutic letters showed that interventions can be valuable in child family care with disabilities.
